Volker Ledwig, who not only is an excellent drummer in his own right, but also an outstanding recording engineer and producer, just has finished the masterization process of the "Blue Ice - On The Move" CD, in his own recording studio. It all has lasted quite a long time because our dear Volker has been very busy mounting studios all over the world.......: quite a hobby you've got there my friend....! Well, we're all looking forward to hearing the results and put some of the finished songs on the web for our fans. Here you can find some mp3's of the new CD ** The recording fase of the new CD, which will be called "On The Move", has concluded. The mixes are almost done and Peter is very happy with the result he told us. : ...soon for sale.More than a year ago now, Peter started the recording of the new "Blue Ice - On The Move" CD. Not wanting to produce anything that could hold up to the highest standards he invited the créme de la créme of local and international musicians This resultad in collaborations by musicians such as: Miguel Rodriguez, Santiago Montoro, Tito Larregui, Gabriel "Conejo" Jolivét, Jean-Luis Barragán, Fernado Lupano, Rubén "Pericles" Caputo, Carlos García Soto, Dino Raiola, Alberto XXX y Carlos García. Peter took care of composing, arranging, engineering and producing the songs as well as doing the singing, drumming, bass-, guitar-, saxophone- and harmonica playing on most of them. ** Blue Ice is back on the road again! After a bit of voluntary hibernation Blue Ice is back on the tracks to join its fans! Two new members have joined the band as well: Blue Ice; fresher than ever After some serious reflectioning Blue Ice can be found on the stage again playing for its fans. On bass newcomer Luis Mayol lays a solid foundation while backing up Peter vocals with his powerful voice. On guitar we can find Jesus Parra, who also plays accordeon and mandoline and who does some serious backing vocals as well! In the back, operating as usual, Volker Ledwig on drums, who else??? Peter met Luis when he joined the power trio "Flor de Mambo" where his good friend Gabriel "Conejo" Jolivet plays the guitar and who lured Peter into the band stating "there was this powerfull bass player with this incredible voice" joining as well. From the start it was clear that some more cooperation was to be expected between Peter and Luis. And here he is! Contact between Peter and Jesus Parra had been established last summer when Peter was thinking of incorporating an accordeon player in the duo "K2" and had stumbled upon Jesus. Some six months later, while cleaning up his emails, Peter remembered this guitar playing accordeon player and he made some calls. They hit it off right away and now Blue Ice is one richer! The band showcased impressingly at their first concert in the Tic Tac of Alcala de Henares in Spain to great enthousiasm of both the public (11-may 2006)
